  • How PDBM works?

    Step One

    Portfolios developed in the Industrial Technical Skills Module prepare you for your application documentation for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) via Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT). SKM Level 3 is the minimum requirement entry for Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM).

    Step Two

    Portfolios developed in the Industrial Supervisory Skills Module plus the project paper developed in the Industrial Managerial Skills Module the prepare you for your application documentation for Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) via Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT)

    Step Three

    While waiting for your Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia application to be approved, you may take several non-graduating modules with UNIRAZAK. You will be conferred a Professional Diploma, Executive Bachelor or Executive Master depending on your entry requirements.

    Step Four

    Once you Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia application via PPT is approved, you are now eligible to apply for a master programme via APEL Level 7. With DKM, you may begin your APEL Level 7 Certificate via online aptitude exam, portfolio development and interview.

    Upon receiving your APEL Level 7 Certificate your are now eligible to apply for UNIRAZAK MBA or Master in Management Programme.

  • What is PPT?

    PDBM acts as a platform to prepare for SKM-DKM-Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT) application

    Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT) is a method to give recognition to any individual who can demonstrate skills outlined in the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS) based on prior experience and achievements.

     

    The Malaysian Skills Certification Programme was first introduced on 13 September 1996 to acknowledge the contribution of skilled workers in the country. It emphasises the concept of life-long learning and this process can help individuals to evaluate and develop the learning they have acquired through formal and informal means.

    Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia and Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia via Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT) through Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran, Kementerian Sumber Manusia provide access to skilled worker with work experience but no skills certificates and diploma, to obtain certificate and diploma in the skills field (no need to attend classes / training) if they meet the requirements set by the Development Department Skills, Ministry of Human Resources.

     

    PDBM is a learning platform to help skilled workers obtain information and guidance on the right processes and methods for developing portfolios and project for SKM-DKM-PPT applications and have the correct SKM-DKM-PPT application procedure information.

    Designed to help you Graduate

    With only weekly online webinar tutorials for each module plus the main method of assessments are portfolios, project paper, coursework, and final examination, this structure is flexible enough for you to graduate. But it does not reduce your learning outcome at all.

    Reasonable Fees

    Tuition fee of RM9,000.

     

    The fee is not inclusive of fees to be paid Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran if the students opt to submit their portfolios and project paper for SKM or DKM via JPK PPT programme. JPK would charge RM300 per level. Those with SPM may need to pay for three levels or RM900.

    Workshop for DKM PPT

    The programme also acts as a workshop for students preparing their needed portfolios and project paper if they opt to apply for Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran SKM 2, SKM 3 and Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia application via Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT).

    *** PDBM graduates who opt to submit their application for SKM and DKM, may use their DKM to apply to enter UNIRAZAK MBA programme via APEL A T7. Furthermore they may apply for up to 30% credit exemption based on their past experience and training. In addition, PDBM holders may apply for these exemption since they have taken several non-graduating modules from UNIRAZAK.

    Assignment as a method of assessment

    For the Industrial Technical Skills and Industrial Supervisory Skills modules the main method of assessment is portfolio. Whereas the Industrial Managerial Skills module main assessment is project paper and presentation.

     

    For the two (2) non-graduating modules, 80% of the score is from assignments, while 20% from the final exam.
